Apple Wheat Bread

1/2 cup water(plus 2 tablespoons)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3/4 cup tart apples(peeled and chopped)
1 tablespoon butter
2 cups bread flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1/4 cup powdered milk
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Place all ingredients in the order given into the bread machine. Use 2.0 lb., light basic cycle.
